The Steve Stone Correspondence
Steve Stone maintained written correspondence with many Stafford fanciers around the world. Most of what we have posted for your enjoyment is what I characterize as historical correspondence. As an example, his first letters to John Gordon when Steve was first looking for a Stafford. This resulted in his acquiring Bella.
There is some very juicey early day correspondence between Steve and many USA dogmen who owned Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Staffords), American Staffordshire Terriers (Amstaffs), and American Pit Bull Terriers (Pit Bulls), for years. Also many interesting letters of personal experience with our wonderful breed and the Stafford interaction with families and children in particular.
To access all of this interesting and historical information just click the category in the listing below. These letters and articles have been formatted in PDF to preserve the original feel of the typewritten and handwritten product. A little harder to read but a much different way of corresponding than the current styles. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate the information and make a donation to the Steve Stone Memorial Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue Fund. You will be assisting in our efforts to help Staffords in need. Thank you in advance for your donation and enjoy the many hours of reading and research ahead of you.
